Frequently Asked Questions, Referrals, and Fees

  • My opening hours are:

    • Wednesdays 4 pm - 8 pm

  • You do not need a referral to attend therapy. However, you may choose to speak with your GP about a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP), which can provide access to a Medicare rebate for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.

An MHCP may be addressed specifically to me, although this is not required if you have an existing, unused referral. To claim a Medicare rebate, you will need to provide both a valid MHCP and a referral letter prior to, or at the time of, your appointment.

If you have private health insurance, you may also be eligible for a rebate on therapy sessions depending on your level of cover. Please contact your insurer directly to confirm your eligibility

  • The fee for an initial or subsequent 50-minute consultation is $250.

If you have a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP or psychiatrist, Medicare will provide a rebate of $145.25 per session. This reduces your out-of-pocket cost to $104.75 (plus transaction fees). I can process the Medicare rebate on your behalf at the time of payment.

The Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommended fee is currently $318 per session.

Payment is required at the time of your appointment. Please note that accounts cannot be extended.

  • Late cancellations significantly impact both the effectiveness of therapy and the availability of appointments for other clients. To ensure the best service for everyone, a 48-hour notice is required to avoid a cancellation fee. Please also note that Medicare rebates are not available for cancelled sessions.
